This is just a little mini-spell I came up with last night
it requires only 3 crystals (amethyst, rose quartz, and clear quartz), and is quick, easy, and effective in helping promote sleep and ward off nightmares.
Start by ensuring your crystals are cleansed… my 2 favorite ways of doing this are by either running them through incense smoke, or simply holding them in my hand and allowing positive energy to flow into them, and releasing negative energy, all through intention
Once you have done this, hold the crystals within your hands, take a moment to feel their energy. Imagine them glowing with pure, sparkling, bright light, then say the words
Rest, come easy
Dreams, be bright
The night may be dark
Yet my soul is light.
After this turn your attention to each stone and say the corresponding words:
Amethyst: Guide me safely to rest and peace
Rose Quartz: Where love’s light guides the way
Clear Quartz: Where my soul is cleansed of darkness
All: Protect me till the light of day
Then imagine the light from the stones growing, feel its warmth, then envision the light enveloping your whole body like a blanket, or a barrier. If you’re performing the charm for someone else, focus on their energy or image, then blow on your hands as though blowing a kiss, directing the crystal’s energy to them, imagining it wrapping around them and keeping them safe.
End by taking a few deep breaths and returning your thoughts to normal.
I hope this helps :)

I think it derives from a few places:
There is nothing wrong with receiving praise and being grateful for the kind words of others. However if you find yourself seeking those things, it is a good idea to ask yourself why.
If your sense of self, meaning your sense of wholeness and normality, depends on receiving the approval of others, then you will always be seeking that approval. It will become your default state, in which you must have everyone’s approval before allowing yourself to feel normal.
This is tiring. It is unnecessary. And also it is impossible! Someone, somewhere, will always find a reason to disapprove. If you live your life in such a way as to avoid disapproval, you will find yourself shrinking into a prison of your own making. You will hold yourself back, chain yourself down, and mute your voice.
If your idea of happiness is the praise of others, you have forgotten the meaning of happiness. Happiness is an inner experience. Often this inner experience is triggered by external things, such as icecream, sex, or praise. But those things are not the happiness itself. To find the happiness itself, you must trace the inner feeling of happiness to its source. That is the purpose of the spiritual path.
Lastly, an insecurity that is seeking to secure itself will often look to others for security. Here is a single important piece of wisdom to live by: Insecurity is never satisfied by security. Security does not free you from insecurity, it makes you dependent. It is like trimming the leaves of a weed but not pulling up its roots. It will keep growing back.
To be free from insecurity, you must uproot it. That can be an uncomfortable process in which you take a long look at the things within you that you would rather avoid. I often recommend the book The Places That Scare You by Pema Chodron as an excellent place to begin such inner work.
You deal with these impulses by becoming mindful of them. Notice them when they happen. Notice whether they actually lead to any lasting satisfaction or happiness. Notice if they lead to restricted peace and freedom. Learn to feel these impulses without expressing them, letting them move through you unhindered by rejection or clinging.
Daily meditation works wonders when it comes to uprooting the weeds of our confusion, fear, and insecurity. When you can sit alone in silence and be content, lacking nothing, then you will find wonderful freedom in daily life.
The book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is also one of my favorite spiritual treatises. It is not meant to be read once. It is meant to be read and reread and practiced as often as needed until it sinks in and you rediscover your naturalness.
Namaste brother :)
Fox squad.
The last few days have been super awesome, hanging with my friends @elizabethgadd, @shanemichaelblack, @jarradseng & @thehatchling here in the valley. Didn’t plan to still be here after three days continuously eating all of the @volcanohuts cake but that’s just how it goes here in Iceland, you never know what’s around the corner haha, and cheers to the legendary folk at @midgardadventure for giving the guys a ride home last night. Maybe Krossá will let me go home tomorrow too!
Spent all of today drinking coffee and playing with the fox gang, all of five of them running around in the puddles.
You can see some little clips in my story ✌🏼️
